JOIN THE SAINT LUKE'S HOSPITAL LAWSUIT

St. Luke’s Hospital is being sued due to not following or performing proper sterilization procedures for surgical instruments, which has resulted in infections and injuries to patients from 2022 and 2023.

On April 11th, 2024, Cross Law Firm LLC has filed suit on behalf of William Berberich and his wife Barbara E. Berberich, and any others who have been harmed, for negligence of the surgical staff at St. Luke’s Hospital to follow and perform proper sterilization procedures for surgical instruments. William’s surgery was in April of 2022, and other patients from 2022 and 2023 may have been harmed by this failure to properly sterilize surgical instruments.

This suit alleges that “One or more of the instruments used during each and every surgery…resulted in surgical site and/or blood-borne pathogen infections”. Complications arising from the infections caused William to require a follow-up surgery.

It also alleges that patients “Remained Unaware That Their Severe Infections Were Caused by Ongoing Sterilization Problems at Saint Luke’s Hospital”. Patients were not aware of the potential infections until information was released through media outlets from a whistleblower, Elizabeth Bell, who served as the Sterile Processing Manager at St. Luke’s Hospital.
