My legal practice is devoted to civil litigation, and I regularly practice across the country. We have cases in over 30 states, I am licensed in Kansas, and Missouri, with licenses pending in California, Texas, DC, and Arizona. Since 2007, I have helped our clients win or settle cases for over $26.5B. Billion.

$13.5 Billion Settlement against Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). This settlement resulted mostly regarding the California WildFire Victims of 2017-18. We represented hundreds of clients affected by the fire, worked with Erin Brockovich and were a part of the Plaintiffs’ Team that helped secure one of the largest settlements in the history of the country. Specifically, we helped our clients receive over $40,000,000.00 and counting.

In fact, we have ongoing investigation and litigation against PG&E regarding several fires, inter alia: 2019 Kincade Fire, 2020 Glass Fire, 2020 Zogg, 2021 Dixie Fire. Our firm works with Robins Cloud, LLP, out of Santa Monica in these cases.

$1.5 Billion Settlement against Syngenta regarding Syngenta’s failure to win Chinese approval of MIR-162 for trade in China. The price of corn fell from $8 a bushel to below $3 in many parts of the country. Our firm and clients (over 1,100 grain farmers) represented approximately 4% of the total acreage on our team (with Watts Guerra, LLP), which helped leverage one of the largest settlements in agricultural history.

$400 million settlement against Monsanto and Bayer regarding the improper marketing, sale, and damage caused by a supposedly re-formulated Dicamba herbicide. Our team worked with Weitz & Luxemberg in New York to help build this Multi-District Litigation, which also helped leverage the Roundup Litigation.

$11 Billion Roundup Settlement. Our firm has represented and represents several clients in this litigation and helped Weitz & Luxemberg build the Dicamba Litigation that leveraged the Roundup Settlement.

$100 million (approximately) settlement against Smithfield & Premium Standard Farms in Missouri. Worked on a legal team that represented hundreds of small farmers and residents that lived near large-scale hog and animal factories. After about ten years of litigation, numerous verdicts in Missouri, numerous appeals, and many other cases across the country, a settlement was finally reached.

$14 million settlement was reached for the victims of lead mines and chat piles in Picher, Oklahoma. Worked as a young associate on these cases.

$11.05 million verdict was reached in Owens et al. v. Smithfield and Premium Standard Farms for 14 northern Missouri clients regarding odor nuisance emanating from an 80,000 hog facility. We worked as young associates on these cases, and our team was named a Finalist for National Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Public Justice Foundation in 2010.

$1.1 million settlement was reached for a family in Cedar County, Missouri against MFA and a small contract operation growing hogs for MFA. This was an odor nuisance case that also included effluent runoff and other health problems. Worked as a young associate on these cases.

$528,000 (approximate) settlement reached for a trucking accident victim in Case No. DC-17-00112; Erik Street et al. v. Santa Barbara Freight Corp., and Sellenga Seya Nyagawa (192nd Judicial District Court of Dallas County, Texas).

$485,000: O’Neil, et al. v. Herrington, et al. Settlement reached regarding a Malicious Prosecution and Slander case for a home builder against a wealthy buyer.

$250,000: In 2018, our firm helped settle a brain injury case for a Kansas Resident against General Motors after suffering a brain injury and other physical injuries. We won $250,000 for our client and his wife after a similar case in Harris County, Texas, went to trial, and the jury awarded no money to the Plaintiff. This case was filed in Kansas District Court, transferred to the MDL in the Federal Southern District of New York, and settled there.

$100,000 was recovered for a mother in a car crash in Lawrence, Kansas. Further, we used existing case law to reduce ERISA liens claimed by third parties.
